Mesh Wi-Fi vs. a traditional router.
The best Wi-Fi setup is not always the most expensive one. Understanding how your home is laid out can save money and solve the right problem.
Think coverage, not just speed.
A traditional router broadcasts Wi-Fi from one location. It can be an excellent choice for a smaller or open home, especially when the router can be placed centrally. But radio signals weaken with distance and obstacles, so basements, upper floors and far rooms can become weak spots.
A mesh system uses a main router plus additional Wi-Fi points placed around the home. They cooperate as one network, helping devices stay connected as you move between rooms instead of relying on one distant radio.
Which sounds like your home?
A single router may be enough if:
your space is smaller or fairly open, the router is centrally located, and you already get strong coverage where you use Wi-Fi.
Mesh may make sense if:
you have multiple floors, persistent dead zones, a long or unusual floor plan, many connected areas, or the internet connection enters the home in a poor location.
Important: Mesh does not make your ISP plan faster. Its job is to distribute that connection more effectively around your home.

Common questions.
Do you help businesses as well as home users?
Yes. @Your.Service IT is designed for both home technology and small businesses that need reliable IT help without maintaining a full internal IT department.
Can you fix my computer remotely?
Many Windows, software, email and configuration problems can be handled remotely. Hardware failures and some network problems may require local service.
What area do you serve?
Local on-site service is focused on Northern Kentucky around the Florence area. Remote support can be provided much more broadly when the problem is suitable for remote service.
Do you run cable through attics or crawlspaces?
No. @Your.Service IT focuses on computer, software, network configuration, Wi-Fi and related technology support rather than construction-style cabling or heavy installation work.
What should I send when I ask for help?
Tell us what device you're using, what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and any error message you see. Never send passwords or sensitive login information by email or text.
Remote access only when you ask for it.
@Your.Service IT will never cold-call or unexpectedly message you claiming your computer is infected. Remote sessions begin only after you contact us and agree to the session. We will never ask for your password, MFA/verification code, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or a bank transfer.
Put your technology back to work.
Call or text anytime. We believe every customer deserves our full attention. If your call goes to voicemail, we may simply be helping another customer, working inside a home or business, or assisting someone on a support call. Please leave your name, callback number and a brief description of what you need help with. We’ll return your call as soon as we’re available.
For your security, never send passwords, verification codes, payment-card numbers or other sensitive credentials by text or email.
